Trust Administration and Settlement
Trusts are often included as an important part of an estate plan. Making sure that the Trust is administered correctly and in accordance with the desires of the person who created the Trust is critical. Our firm advises and guides a successor trustee to make sure he or she administers the Trust properly, impartially, and distributes the assets to the intended beneficiary at a minimum of expense. Properly carrying out the directions of the person who created the Trust is just as important as creating the Trust in the first place. If a client believes that a Successor Trustee is not acting appropriately, our office can take action to safeguard the Trust assets and remove the Trustee or obtain orders from the Court to make sure that our client’s beneficial interest in the Trust is protected.
